#1 On iTunes
The current #1 is probably the best iTunes #1 I’ve yet to hear. I’m a bit of an Owl City fan anyway, but “Fireflies” is a quite good song. From the intro, you get the feel of “fireflies” with the light, airy, digital melody. The lead singer’s voice is impressive (it reminds me of Matt Theissen’s). The strings coming in in the second verse, and the bass in the chorus is a good musical trick. The poetic lyrics are quite good, and fit the music brilliantly. And…there’s no voice warp! Yes! I’m gonna give this song 5 out of 5 stars.
